Bark Buddies are not your ordinary, bashful backyard trees…they’re trunk yappin’, root tappin’, leaf clappin’, gettin-twiggy-with-it trees on a mission to ROOT-4-KIDS and “Spark a Nature-Child Reunion”!

The Bark Buddies are the stars of an interactive animated series that brings   kids to their roots by reconnecting them with the marvelous intelligence of Nature. Each Bark Buddies Episeed plants a powerful seed of learning and is an  “adventure in the great new frontier – the outdoors!”). It’s the first series with characters drawn from the natural world telling stories and singing songs created specifically to connect children with Nature and the first series with a living, breathing, growing component – the live baby Bark Buddie Tree that children can adopt plant and grow up with.

The Bark Buddies is not ‘sit back and watch’ television. It’s hands on, designed to get children enthusiastically involved in their environment and motivated to get outside to play, plant, discover and explore…in a nutshell, to “dig”  Nature.  Each episode is a strategically targeted learning experience carefully designed to be entertaining, rewarding and to meet specific educational criteria. Using music and unique, sticky characters caught up in fascinating stories, Bark Buddies puts a warm inviting smile on Nature’s face.  And with the reinforcement activities included in each episode, children are encouraged to participate and learn while they watch, so when they go outside they can create a lasting bond with Nature. Children are encouraged to adopt and plant a live baby Bark Buddie Tree with keepsake “B’Earth Certificate” signed by Mother Nature.  This special, personal tree becomes their best friend on earth and touchstone point of contact keeping them connected to Mother Nature and the magic of the Bark Buddies.

The Buddies live in the Secret Valley which is right down the road and a world away.  It’s a place where trees and animals can speak for themselves and where humans live in complete harmony with Nature. In the Secret Valley children see the diversity of the natural world first hand thanks to the cleverly original cast of characters who call the Valley home. Trees and squirrels, stumps and earthworms come to life to give our audience ways of viewing  Nature from new perspectives and with new dimensions.

There are humans here too. Grandpa Green Thumb and his grandchildren, Mattie Mudpie and Nate, guard and nurture the Valley showing us the peaceful existence that all of us can and should have with the natural world.
